Brent Drinkut is a Photographer and Videographer based in Indiana.

What started off as a high school elective has turned into a long career.

In my current role as the Photo Editor of Outdoor Indiana and Photographer for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Division of Communications, I develop and produce a variety of images and multimedia projects in support of the DNR mission to preserve and enhance natural resources for Indiana’s citizens.

Prior to joining the DNR, I was a staff photographer at the Statesmen Journal in Salem, Oregon. I was also a member of the award-winning visuals team at The Indianapolis Star before moving to the west coast.

In over a decade of professional experience, that also includes the Journal & Courier, I have received multiple honors from the Association for Conservation Information, Hoosier State Press Association, the Indiana Associated Press Managing Editors, Best of Gannett awards and the Northwest Associated Press Photo Contest.
